At tonight’s meeting of the reconvened annual meeting a new board was elected, and the special assessment for the full replacement and repair of the community wall was approved by a vote of 35 to 20. The quorum requirement for this meeting was reduced due to the inability of obtaining a quorum at the first-called annual meeting scheduled for December 2022.
As was shared at the meeting, the selected vendor had confirmed that they saw no need to increase the estimate (bid) that was approved by the board in October 2022, which meant that the final amount that was approved was up to $313,975 (approx. $2,415 per homeowner).
Next step will be for the contract to be signed and the special assessment notice to be sent out to each homeowner, which we hope will be done in the next couple of weeks. The 2021/2022 board made the commitment to attempt to split this assessment into at least two payments to assist homeowners in paying for this assessment following discussion with the contracted vendor.
Thank you to all the homeowners for their time and effort to consider and approve this special assessment, and congratulations to the new board on their election.
Edited to add the PowerPoint Presentation displayed at the meeting and update board information.
